GETTING STARTED

What do I need for Commercial Multi-Engine training?

To add commercial multi-engine privileges, you'll need to:

  • Hold an applicable Commercial Pilot Certificate

  • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English

  • Meet applicable FAA medical and general eligibility requirements

  • Receive the required multi-engine ground and flight training

  • Demonstrate proficiency in multi-engine aircraft systems and operations

  • Develop proficiency in normal, abnormal, and engine-out procedures

  • Receive the required instructor endorsements

  • Pass the FAA practical test, commonly known as the checkride

ARQ Aviation's Commercial Multi-Engine training is designed to build on your existing commercial pilot skills as you transition from single-engine to multi-engine aircraft.

You'll develop proficiency in multi-engine aircraft systems, performance, engine management, takeoffs and landings, emergency procedures, and asymmetric flight operations. A major focus of your training will be understanding how the aircraft performs when one engine becomes inoperative and developing the skills to safely manage those situations.

For career-focused pilots, adding multi-engine privileges is an important step toward flying larger, more complex aircraft and preparing for opportunities throughout professional aviation.
