Flight Training

GETTING STARTED
What do I need to become a Private Pilot?
To earn an FAA Private Pilot Certificate, you'll need to:

Be at least 17 years old to earn the certificate

Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English

Meet applicable FAA medical and general eligibility requirements

Complete the required ground and flight training

Pass the FAA knowledge test

Meet required aeronautical experience

Pass the FAA practical test, commonly known as the checkrid
